Millersylvania State Park

On one of our recent nicer days the kids and I went for a drive and ended up at Millersylvania State Park.  We had fun exploring and enjoying the sunshine! But the main excitement of the day was learning to pee on sticks. :)

In the 'hood

We've been enjoying our dry days here in the PNW, and it's so great to be able to drive a mile up the road and enjoy such pretty scenery!

This is now the classic Micah and Hallie "cheese" face, one of these days I may catch a real smile without so much "cheese!"

Fishing

Tyson has been taking Micah fishing for a little while now. The first time Micah caught a fish, he couldn't wait to bring it home and show me.  Tyson couldn't cook it fast enough, Micah wanted to eat it right away!  Since the 1st time, he now wants to catch 3 fish every time.  On the fishing trip shown below we didn't catch any, but the next time we went to one of the lakes in our neighborhood we caught 2 fish within 25 minutes all on Micah's fishing pole.  In fact every fish we've caught has been on his pole- he's got the lucky one!

Easter

We went to a couple Easter Egg hunts.  The first was with MOM's club and the 2nd was our primary activity.  The kids had a blast at both.  At the first hunt, Micah gathered about 8 eggs and made a bolt inside where I found him sitting on the floor going through his eggs, when I asked him what he was doing with a mouth full of skittles and purple drool dripping out of his mouth, he mumbled something about opening his eggs.  Funny kid! The second hunt, Hallie had sooo many eggs, that I had her go share some with the other kids, which she thankfully did willingly!

I made both dresses for Hallie and Micah's tie for Easter Sunday.  They were so fun, but sadly I didn't take the picture until the very end of the day, so don't mind the 1 shoe, flash lighting, and wonderful background. :)

Portland Zoo

We met Abi and Josh in Portland when they were in visiting family in Oregon.  The kids loved the zoo and we had a great time! Sad it was only a day, but super glad we got to see them!

Right after almost refusing the picture, Micah busts out, "Abi, you are my best friend!"
