Tolmie State Park

Our first real adventure after injuring my back was out to Tolmie State Park back in June.  It was a great afternoon, the weather was great, low tide brought many "treasures", and we had great company! I was astonished at the amount of Sand Dollars there were.  It was a first for me to see a live one and they were ALL OVER!  We had to be careful where we walked so we didn't step ont them, all of the bumps in the sand in the below pictures are sand dollars buried in the sand.

Sunday Drive to Elbe

We've continued our tradition that started on the East Coast of taking Sunday drives.  On this particular Sunday we decided to drive out towards Mt. Rainier and just happened to drive through the town of Elbe at the perfect time.  The engine was just returning from it's excursion so we sat and watched the engineer and staff prepare to park the train.  Needless to say Micah was beyond excited.

Lattin's Farm

We love going to Lattin's Farm outside of Olympia Saturday mornings.  Not only is it fun for the kids with the animals, maze, and water pump, it's fun for the big kids with fresh made apple fritters.  Absolutely delicious!

When auntie comes to take care of mommy...

"We get in all kinds of trouble!"

Shelly came to hang out with me for a few days and help me while I was out of commission with my back and Tyson was out of town.  It was great to have her here to keep me company and to keep my house as clean as it could be with 4 under 4 running around!
