All American Weekend- Thomson Style Part #2

Again what better way to spend a long weekend with a trip to the beach.  Complete with a sting from a jellyfish, crabs, shark teeth, and sunburns!

If you look closely at her leg you can see the sting from the Jellyfish.  It got her pretty good, it was pretty red from her knee down, but thankfully she's tough and with the advice from the beach patrol of rubbing sand on it, she was fine for the rest of the day.  She periodically would rub sand on it, but no other complaints and she continued playing in the water for another few hours.
Love this face and the good old belly rub!

Good Times

After a year of complete craziness together, we realized we had no (meaning absolutely no) pictures of our craziness together! What bad bloggers/friends/people we are! So here's our first and hopefully not last pictures together in all their dorkiness!

All American Weekend- Thomson Style Part #1

What better way to celebrate our freedom by hitting the road?! We enjoyed our last long weekend in DC, by getting out of DC! Haha! We braved the backwoods of West Virginia and hunted down the house where Tyson's Great Grandpa and G-Great Grandpa built(?) and lived.  I'll get my facts straight on the house post! :) West Virginia is gorgeous, wish we could visit during the fall, I'm sure it would be stunning.
Sums up the trip for Micah and Hallie...
We did make a weekend of it though so they were able to enjoy staying at a hotel and swimming their little hearts out.  They absolutely love to swim and eat at hotels.  They were quite concerned when we had to leave the hotel in the evening to get dinner- they were expecting it to be downstairs! We also improvised when the hotel didn't have another portable crib.  (Yes, I know they could both totally be in big kid beds like 5 times over already, but I'm keeping them corralled for as long as possible!) So Hallie slept on the floor in the closet and Micah enjoyed a portable crib in the bathroom.

The road the house was off of... gorgeous!
They were so done before we even got there.  They were in desperate need of a nap! Love this picture- I can totally hear Micah receiving a stern warning! :)
There this is better...

It's a bug, it's a train, no it's a...

Motorcycle!?!
And since I'm procrastinating cleaning and packing right now, I'm going to get sentimental on ya!  Can I just say how much I'm going to miss this girl!?  I really don't want to talk about it because the tears start flowing every time I do, but seriously she's my go-to girl for everything.  I love her to pieces, she is 100% irreplaceable and I will miss her more than words can say!!!!! I'm sure this won't be the last you hear about La-Wis, but for now I'll focus on the positive... we've still got a week to go out in true Lis and Stacey fashion... it'll be loads of fun that's for sure!

The Faces of Micah

The 6 Month Plan

December 2008- Ty and his sister drove cross-country packing only what we could fit in our Tahoe, while my mom and I flew with the kids a week later.  We lived in Alexandria on a temporary military assignment.

May of 2009- Flew back to Washington to get the rest of our belongings.  Along with 2 of Tyson's brothers, Ira and Aaron, we drove back to DC with our moving truck and the rest of our belongings and moved out of the city down to Calvert County where we stayed in limbo, having to wait until the very last minute every 2 months to find out if they were going to extend his orders or not.

November 2009- Decided to not renew his military orders and began applying for jobs and ended up getting one LAST minute in Arlington.  That was after we packed our necessities into a 10x10 storage shed and drove the rest of our belongings back to WA.

July 2010- here we go again!  Tyson was approached about a job in Washington and after a lot of research and praying, we felt this was the right decision for us.  So we're off!  We are excited to head back to Washington, but we've had fun and enjoyed our time here so we'll be sad to leave- and leaving Lis and Bobby- we won't even go there, I don't want to talk about it!

But we've hit the 6 month mark so I guess it's time for us to move.  :)  It'll be fun and exciting and hopefully be the last for LONG while!
