You know when you're out in public and you see a toddler zonked out in their stroller... I have to admit, I always looked on at these parents and toddlers in envy... ok really only briefly in between dishing out snacks, toys, milk, and picking these items off the ground if tossed. But really I always wondered if my children would ever fall asleep in public
Well I am proud to announce that my children FINALLY fell asleep while in their stroller... it was glorious! This has to be the first time in over a year... and I'm not exaggerating! Hallie fell asleep on the metro... loudness and all and Micah fell asleep on our 5 minute walk back to our hotel from the metro. I was even able to transfer them from the stroller to their pack and plays for a full 2hr + nap... in a hotel room! I am here to tell you that miracles do happen!
On a side note do you see how large they look! I think it's time for another measurement... they've grown a bunch lately and surprise surprise are both SO tall!

This is the conversation that ensued earlier this evening...
Daddy "Hallie you wanna fight?"
"No" (In the cutest little girl voice)
"Hallie you wanna kiss?"
"No"
"Hallie you wanna spankin'?"
"No"
"Hallie you wanna hug?"
"No"
Me "Hallie you want some chocolate?"
Looks at me, then grabs my hand and rips open my fingers...
Smart Girl!
Sadly there was no chocolate in my hands at the time, but at least she knows where she's most likely to find it!

Early this morning, Hallie threw a little tantrum... she now flops herself on the floor and cries and kicks her feet. Micah usually ignores her, but today... he looked at me, laid down on the floor and started kicking his feet, smiling at me the entire time. Sadly I couldn't capture it on video as my camera is officially broken, but you'll just have to take my word for it, it was the funniest thing I've seen in a long while!

If only Micah and Hallie could get along so well all the time, but alas my children are not perfect and we don't live in a perfect world. Here is a short clip (9 seconds to be exact) of a common scene from our home the last few weeks. Just replay it over about 100 times and you'll get the picture!
This 'no no' business started last week... I'm wondering where they picked it up from!? We don't say no very often... I'm thinking maybe nursery??? Needless to say, we've been working on talking nice and sharing the last week :)

Wow! I was just thinking how things were kinda blah the past couple weeks (minus Lis and Bobbby's visit of course!), but I just got to thinking, and we've got some great stuff coming up over the next couple months!
It's going to be a busy rest-of-the-summer!
???? Then who knows what October and November hold for us... a move????? a new job????? I guess only time will tell!
